2003 Greater Stamford Tennis Mixed Doubles Championship Final Results

Meg Reynolds and Faycal Rhazali, co-workers at Kings Highway Racquet Club, captured the inaugural Greater Stamford Mixed Doubles Championships with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Janet Dooley and George Clamer in the final Saturday, October 25, at Scalzi Park in Stamford.

Dooley and Clamer earned their spot in the final earlier in the day completing their comeback against Sharon Diekneit and Elmer Adams in the semifinals, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-4.  The match was moved indoors the prior Sunday due to rain and was suspended after Dooley and Clamer won the second set due to time constraints.

Reynolds and Rhazil won the title without the loss of a set.

The tournament was presented by the Greater Stamford Tennis Association and Stamford Recreation Services.
